About

This is a place for me to vent, ramble,IMG_2446 and post stuff that I don’t otherwise know what to do with.  In high school, I enjoyed creative writing class and have always loved to read the works of Patrick McManus and Dave Barry.  My grammar and punctuation may not always be correct, my spelling is pretty horrid, (Thank God for spell check!) and I may go off on a tangent here or there but please take all this drivel with a grain of salt.  In other words: this is my outlet for some of my weird thoughts and strange sense of humor.  I do not intend to be offensive or derisive so please remember that I am, in reality, a pretty harmless guy.  As my header states, don’t believe everything you read here, a large percent of my material starts its life as a thought provoked by an actual event, but quickly morphs out of control into the stories and posts you read here.

My first venture into blogging was a Xanga site I started well over 10 years ago.  (I know, I had forgotten about it as well.)  When starting this WordPress blog I discovered an option to import my old Xanga posts so if you have the stomach for it, you can read some of the posts I have resurrected from a previous life.  I then migrated to Facebook along with everyone else but never really felt the love there.  I have been posting off and on to a variety of social media (and plan to continue) but I hope this will become my “home base”.

I consider myself blessed in many ways.  I am the husband of one, the father of four, the friend of many, and a follower of God.  My wife and I own Main Street Coffee House and Main Street Roasters based in Nappanee, IN.  We also have a location in South Bend, IN.

Thanks for visiting my blog. I hope you like it and in some way it has brightened your day.  Feel free to leave me some feedback.
